Having confirmed that he’ll accept Brock Lesnar’s challenge at Wrestlemania 33, Goldberg is now a colossal favourite to win the WWE Universal championship at the upcoming Raw-branded Fastlane pay-per-view.
Last night on WWE Monday Night Raw it was announced that Goldberg will battle Kevin Owens for his title at the March 5 PPV and Paddy Power make the former WCW champion a huge frontrunner at 1/12 to win the championship.
Despite having Chris Jericho for back up, Owens finds himself an 11/2 shot to retain his coveted gold.
However, Goldberg is a enormous outsider to retain that championship – should he win it of course – against The Beast Brock Lesnar at Wrestlemania 33, despite holding a 2-0 record over Brock. Former UFC champion Lesnar is the 1/5 favourite to be holding the Universal Championship at the end of the ‘Grandaddy of them all’ and he’s followed in the market by Goldberg at 5/4 and Owens at 11/4.

Meanwhile over on the Smackdown Live side of WWE, Bray Wyatt has emerged as an Andre the Giant-sized fancy to win the WWE World Heavyweight championship at the Elimination Chamber PPV on Sunday at 1/10.
New champion John Cena is surprisingly a 6/1 underdog to retain the title he just won for the 16th time on January 29th at the Royal Rumble. The other challengers come in as follows – former champion AJ Styles 8/1, The Miz at 14/1, Baron Corbin is a 16/1 shot and Dean Ambrose can be found at 18/1.
The reason for Bray’s favouritism seems to be that The Eater of Worlds is rumoured to be taking on his fellow Wyatt Family member Randy Orton at Wrestlemania after The Viper guaranteed himself a main event slot by winning last month’s Royal Rumble match.

For grapple nerds wondering, Orton can be found as low as 4/7 to end the night as WWE World Heavyweight champion at Wreslemania. Wyatt for his part is an 11/8 shot to hold that honour, while current champ John is available at 5/2.
Asked how he felt that land lay heading into Wrestlemania spokesman Paddy Power said: “Goldberg’s odds to walk into Mania as Champion have hit me as hard as one of his trademark Jackhammers.
“It’s understandable on reflection. This is the man who has Brock Lesnar’s number and went on a 173-match unbeaten run while Kevin Owens was still in short pants.
“I can’t wait to see him spear-head Mania.”
