Randy Orton slithers into Royal Rumble favourite ‘outta nowhere’

The money has come in for The Viper to win his second Rumble

Comments

With just three days to go to the Royal Rumble, the rumour mill has kicked into a higher gear than a newborn Shawn Michaels and we’ve got a new favourite to win the match!

2009 winner Randy Orton has moved to the front of the pack this morning as stories flew around and money followed cutting The Viper into 6/4 favourite to win the 30-man extravaganza.

It’s seems that the reports – stemming from a recently released Wrestling Observer Newsletter – are that Orton is Smackdown Live’s top chance to win the Rumble on Sunday and with him currently locked into a storyline with the Wyatt Family, it could transpire that a Bray Wyatt victory inside the upcoming Elimination Chamber match may put the dup on a collision course for Wrestlemania 33 for the WWE World Heavyweight title.

The Viper also saw his Rumble odds nest plundered by a significant number of bets in the last couple of days. Evan though as late as a couple of weeks ago you could have got Orton at mega 10/1.

He’s joined at the top of the market by the likes of The Undertaker 4/1, Goldberg at 9/2 and a possible return for Ireland’s own Finn Balor at 5/1.

He may not like people disturb him at the gym however, for now the Master of the RKO seems to be the frontrunner to be pointing at the Wrestlemania at the end of night on Sunday. As a bonus, why not check out the 2009 Royal Rumble that Orton won below:
