Paddy Power have stopped taking bets on whether Prince Harry’s girlfriend Meghan Markle will join the Royal Family’s Christmas celebrations.
After flying home to Toronto, Canada – where she is based for her role in US drama Suits – it was reported that the recently confirmed item would be spending the festive period apart.
However, it appears that the love-struck couple have had a change of heart, after a series of bets were placed on Markle being with her beau on Christmas Day at the Royal Christmas Service.
Our traders were forced to take action, despite the market starting at 2/1 on Wednesday morning, cutting the price to odds-on, before suspending betting on it altogether.
Paddy Power spokesperson Lee Price said: “This news will certainly make it a season of good cheer for Harry – who otherwise faced another Christmas Day stuck with his brother and the flu-ridden Queen.
“Harry won’t be lonely this Christmas, after all.”
