Divisive Homes Under The Hammer presenter Martin Roberts is emerging as a favourite for the I’m A Celebrity jungle crown, after the odds of him winning were slashed over the weekend by Paddy Power.
The daytime TV star initially baffled camp mates and viewers alike with his oddball antics, and was as long as 33/1 to win the show on Thursday.
But this morning he has been backed in to 8/1 after viewers saw him amusingly take on Bushtucker Trials, bond with show favourite Adam, and react admirably to alleged ‘bullying’ behaviour from Larry Lamb.

Larry, whose outburst at Martin on Saturday prompted widespread criticism online, has seen has chances tumble meanwhile, slipping from 8/1 to 25/1.
Olympian Sam Quek is the favourite to leave the jungle tonight (6/4), ahead of Carol Vorderman, who has been in the bottom two for each of the evictions so far.
Asked about the goings-on in the jungle spokesman Paddy Power said: “Martin may not have completely shaken off his love-hate tag, but at least there’s some affection amongst the public for him now.
“Larry’s lashing out at him appears to have cost the former Eastenders actor any chance of winning – with it looking increasingly like the winner will be decided by a straight race between Adam and Scarlett.”
