Odds slashed on Prince Harry wedding after honeymoon gaffe by Antiguan PM

It looks as if Meghan Markle will finally tame the wild prince

The chance of a Royal wedding in 2017 has shot up, after the Antiguan PM invited Prince Harry to honeymoon on the Caribbean island with lover Meghan Markle.

We’ve reacted to that gaffe by cutting the price of Harry and Meghan getting married next year from 6/1 to 2/1.

And Antigua has been installed as the joint-favourite destination for their honeymoon, along with South Africa at 10/1.

Toronto – where Meghan’s show Suits is filmed – is another contender (20/1), London is a longer-shot at 66/1, but Las Vegas – scene of Harry’s infamous naked antics in 2012 – is a 100/1 distant outsider.

The pair are now 6/1 (in from 10/1) to have a baby together next year, while the wedding ceremony itself is heavily odds of 1/14 to take place in the UK.

Asked about possible honeymoon locations spokesman Paddy Power said: “I like the ridiculous optimism of the Antiguan Prime Minister. Sure, he Royally put his foot in it, but maybe he’s in on something.

“Either way, we can’t take the risk, and have slashed the price on Meghan wedding Harry. Ireland is high up the honeymoon betting – Harry, you can use Power Tower as a base anytime you’re in Dublin.”
