Watch former Bundesliga keeper Tim Wiese make his WWE debut

It’s fair to say he made quite the splash!

After living out his dream as a professional player in German football for 15 years, former Werder Bremen goalkeeper Tim Wiese made another fantasy come through last night.

Capped six times by the German national side, Wiese has since transitioned in to the world of sports entertainment after announcing his retirement from professional football in 2014.

Wiese’s wrestling potential was spotted by WWE legend Triple H and the big German was offered a chance to train at the company’s developmental facility in June this year.

Last night was another special moment for the man now known as ‘the Machine’, as he made his first appearance in a WWE ring at a live event in Frankfurt – and it’s fair to say he was a popular man with the crowd.

Wiese joined the odd couple of Cesaro and Sheamus against the team of The Shining Stars (who?) and Bo Dallas in six man tag match, and he wasted no time in making his presence felt.

With chants of ‘Wiese, Wiese, Wiese’ ringing out around the arena, the former keeper picked up the win for his team with a huge splash to the delight of the locals.

We can just see Wiese v Big Neville Southall at Wrestlemania someday. He’s got a future this kid!
