Conor McGregor is more polarizing for the Irish media than Roy Keane eating a Marmite sandwich but his defeat to Nate Diaz at UFC 196 last night wasn’t the only fight on the card, despite what some people tell you.
Miesha Tate choked out Holly Holm (the person who conquered the unconquerable Ronda Rousey). Corey Anderson beat Tom Lawlor on points, but one of the highlights of the night came on the undercard.
MMA is all about respect. When someone offers to touch gloves, usually, it’s a sign of said respect, not an invitation for a thumb war. Erick Silva is different however, as he used the oppurtunity to throw a cheap shot at Nordine Taleb.
Only moments later, an angry Taleb caught a kick before unleashing a right hander that Sepp Blatter would be proud of.
BOOM! Do not piss off Nordine Taleb, he’s got a punch harder than Vinnie Jones in a geology museum.
Silva went to sleep quicker than a Man United fan at Old Trafford. We just hope he’s learned his lesson.
