When is the Australian Open 2024? Dates, schedule, seeds and prize money

G'day mate!

Novak Djokovic

It’s an ace start to the year for tennis lovers as the world’s best are Down Under for the first Grand Slam of 2024. The Australian Open kicks off the new season in earnest as fans flock to Melbourne Park to catch a slice of the action.

Novak Djokovic entered as the defending men’s singles champions after beating Stefanos Tsitsipas in last year’s final, although the Serbian’s bid for another Grand Slam success hit the net after a semi-final defeat to Jannick Sinner.

The women’s singles title, meanwhile, is held by Aryna Sabalenka as the world number two claimed her maiden Grand Slam title at Melbourne Park last January. She is still going strong and faces number 12 seed Qinwen Zheng in this year’s final in a bid for back-to-back successes.

Australian Open odds can be found on the Paddy Power website and Paddy Power app, otherwise everything you need to know about this year’s first Grand Slam is below.
