US Open 2023 dates and schedule for men’s and women’s singles

New York is calling!

Novak Djokovic at the US Open

The world’s best tennis players are set to hit the Big Apple for the fourth and final Grand Slam of the year.

The US Open is the most lucrative of the major tournaments and the prize pot for 2023 has reached $65million, which represents an eight per cent increase from last year.

Carlos Alcaraz is the defending champion in the men’s singles after securing his maiden Grand Slam success in New York, while Iga Swiatek is bidding to retain her women’s singles title.

A year on from being denied entry to the USA as he is unvaccinated against Covid-19, Novak Djokovic is back and hunting a 24th Grand Slam to draw level with Margaret Court’s all-time record.

British hopes are likely to rest on Andy Murray’s shoulders, however the 2012 US Open winner is a fitness doubt after withdrawing from the Cincinnati ATP Masters.
