1pm: Keys v Sabalenka – Keys to win at least one set
The In-form Madison Keys is looking to progress to the Semi-Final for the first time in her career as she faces World No.2 Aryna Sabalenka for the third time in their careers. Sabalenka’s record in Slam Quarter-Finals is 5-0 which will be a concern for Keys who very nearly was knocked out by 16 year old newcomer Mirra Andreeva in the fourth round.
Sabalenka was close to elimination herself in the 2nd round against Varvara Gracheva who is currently ranked 41st, but both players have only dropped one set in their four matches at Wimbledon this tournament.
In the two times they have faced each other previously, both women have won one match each with Keys winning the match on Grass. With both women in great form and Keys favouring the grass surface, we are taking Keys to win at least one set.
1.30pm: Jabeur v Rybakina – Rybakina to win
This Quarter-Final looks set to be a great spectacle for the neutrals here as the World No.3 Elena Rybakina faces World No.6 Ons Jabeur in a repeat of last year’s final where Rybakina was victorious. The ladies have faced each other four times previously with each player winning two of them.
Last year’s final was won by Rybakina 2-1 after going a set down. Rybakina fought back to win both the other sets 6-2. We feel that gives her the psychological advantage here, added to the fact she progressed with victory over Haddad Maia who retired through injury in the first set, so she should be the more rested and fresher player.
Jabeur has been playing excellent tennis herself and won the last match over Kvitova emphatically 6-0, 6-3. We should be in for an excellent game, but one we expect Rybakina to progress from.

3pm: Medvedev v Eubanks – Medvedev to win Set 1
Daniil Medvedev who is currently ranked World No.3 faces Christopher Eubanks from the US who continues to be the surprise package this year after defeating Cam Norrie and Stefanos Tsitsipas on his way to his first ever major Quarter-Final. This is already in new territory for him and he’s never progressed past round three of a Grand Slam.
Medvedev is of course the short priced and huge favourite to win here but the value is elsewhere. Eubanks had a very tough game against World No.5 Tsitsipas where he fought back against the odds to progress. Medvedev has had a much easier journey so far only dropping one set and winning his last match through retirement after going 2-0 up in just over an hour and a quarter.
They have faced each other before back in March on hard ground, also in a Quarter-Final where Medvedev won 2-0. With Medvedev the higher ranking and more experienced player, who will be fresher coming into this game, we expect Medvedev to win the first set.
3.30pm: Alcaraz v Rune – Total Match Games Over 37.5
World No.1 Carlos Alcaraz faces World No.6 Holger Rune in the Men’s Wimbledon Quarter-Final. Alcaraz is the huge bookies favourite to progress here after playing some excellent tennis whilst Rune has ridden his luck slightly winning tie breakers in all four of his matches.
Alcaraz has been in scintillating form, only dropping two sets in his four matches so far, and is rightfully the big favourite. However, we don’t feel it will be as easy as the price suggests and Rune will fancy himself to pick up at least a set here which will favour the over 37.5 games leg.
There have been over 37.5 games played in three of the last four matches involving either player and Rune has won the first set in four of his last five matches. Rune beat Alcaraz on hard ground last year in France in the Quarter-Final and we don’t expect as easy of a match for the World Number 1 as the odds suggest.
