Marton Fucsovics (#78 Hun) faces Jannik Sinner (#16 Ita) in the Australian Open in the 1/16 Finals. The men faced each other in the Australian Open 2020 when Fucsovics won in straight sets against a very young and inexperienced Jannick Sinner, this time it will be very different. Sinner is now ranked 16th in the World and is a huge favourite to progress here. Norrie, world number 12 looks to be a serious challenger for this tournament and will fancy his chances of progressing here against a lower ranked opponent than he met last time. Hubert Hurkacz (#11 Pol) faces Denis Shapovalov (#22 Can) in what looks set to be a great game of tennis. They have faced each other 4 times previously, all on hard ground, with Hurkacz winning 3 and Shapovalov winning 1. Hurkacz is the higher ranked player and won the last head-to-head, however there may be some fatigue after a 5 set thriller against Sonego in Round 1. Both players will fancy their chances of progressing here in a tight game.
