Friday is men’s semi final day at Wimbledon and it all comes down to Novak Djokovic v Cameron Norrie and Nick Kyrgios v Rafael Nadal. There’s plenty of narrative with Brit Norrie looking to cause a massive upset and serious injury concerns over Nadal’s fitness.

WELCOME TO PADDY POWER NEWS!

Those elements throw a couple of rather spicy ingredients into the mix ahead of what could be another cracking day in south-west London. So, here’s a best bet for each match and you can double them up as well if you fancy.

*Since this article was published Rafael Nadal has withdrawn through injury*

Novak Djokovic v Cameron Norrie

It’s No.1 seed vs No.9 here as home favourite Norrie goes up against the great Djokovic. Norrie has had a relatively soft run to the semis but needed to go the distance with a final-set tie break to get past David Goffin in the last round.

Djokovic has made hard work of this year’s tournament by his own standards, dropping a set in the first round and needing four against Tim van Rijthoven before coming from two sets down against Jannik Sinner in the quarters.

The Serbian top seed is huge favourite here but he’s clearly not quite at his imperious best and I think Norrie might be able to land a blow, roared on by a home crowd, even if it’s not a killer one. I think the Serb is a little underpriced so we’re getting a decent price on Novak Djokovic To Win and Both Players to Win a Set.

Nick Kyrgios v Rafael Nadal – Under 40.5 total match games

*Since this article was published Rafael Nadal has withdrawn through injury*

It’s firecracker Aussie Kyrgios taking on the ageing great Nadal in the second semi. Kyrgios has been the story of the 2022 tournament for his on-court outbursts but Nadal’s fitness is the big story heading into the final few days of the tournament.

I can’t see him being at his best and I have my doubts he’ll see the match through. On this basis alone, Total Match Games Under 40.5 looks incredibly appealing. Kyrgios is in fine form and looks to have finally got his head in the right place.

He comes into this on the back of a straight-sets win in the quarters while his 36-year-old opponent was forced to battle through a fifth set tie break to make it here. You wouldn’t put it past Nadal to win again, but with that major fitness doubt I just can’t look past Under 40.5 Total Match Games.
