The courtroom drama is (finally) over and we’re not ready for action on the court at the Australian Open.

And to celebrate, Paddy’s got a Place One Acca, Get One Free offer for the tournament. That means if you place a 4+ leg acca, you’ll get another acca on us (up to £/€5).

Brandon Nakashima v Matteo Berrettini – Berrettini wins the match and both players win a set

Scheduled start: 2am (Monday morning)

Another match headed for holds of serve and likely to include one or more Tie Breaks. Five of Brandon Nakashima’s last six sets have been Tie Breaks and with the serving power of Matteo Berrettini it looks a decent bet there will be a Tie Break in this match. Berrettini should be too strong but he can be slow out of the blocks and Tie Breaks can go anyway so I can see Nakashima winning a set but not being strong enough to come through the fixture as a whole.

Cameron Norrie v Sebastian Korda – Over 38.5 Total Match Games

Scheduled start: 4am (Monday morning)

A real mouth-watering first-round clash between a very much improved Cameron Norrie and a potential superstar of the future in Sebastian Korda. Korda leads the head-to-head 1-0, a match which also took place on a hard court.

Both players are hovering around the 60-70% win rate for the past year. Norrie lost to Rafael Nadal in Round 3 last year having won three sets to one in both his first and second-round matches. Korda tends to get into quite taxing tough long matches, though, and it would be no surprise to see this one go all the way. Over 38.5 Total Match Games looks value.

Yannick Hanfmann v Thanasi Kokkinakis – Set Betting: Kokkinakis to win 3-0

Scheduled start: 6am (Monday morning)

Home favourite Thanasi Kokkinakis is coming off the back of his maiden title win in Adelaide and will look to use the crowd and his current form to get his Aussie Open off to a flyer. Yannick Hanfmann came through qualifying dropping just one set but he has nothing like the game of Kokkinakis and I can see a straightforward win for the Australian.

Ash Barty v Lesia Tsurenko (Set 1 Correct Score Groups Any Player: 6-2 or 6-3)

Scheduled start: 8am (Monday morning)

The Women’s favourite Ashleigh Bartey gets her campaign underway in a straightforward clash against Lesia Tsurenko. Nothing but a routine victory will please Barty who dominated two weeks ago winning both the doubles and singles tournaments in Adelaide before taking a week off to fine-tune her game before looking to go the distance in this year’s Australian Open. The last three matches for Barty have been first set victories 6-3 6-2 and 6-3 and that looks a decent bet here.
