The Wimbledon crowd love a home favourite and the socially-distancing supporters have plenty of Brits to get behind in the first round this year.
Andy Murray is back in singles action at the All England Club for the first time since 2017 after being granted a wildcard.
The two-time Wimbledon winner has tumbled down the world rankings due to injury problems including two hip operations in recent years – and Sir Muzza faces the 24th seed Nikoloz Basilashvili in the first round.
The days of Murray being the last Brit standing in the men’s singles after just a few days look to be a thing of the past as Great Britain boasts two seeds this year.
Britain’s highest-ranked player Dan Evans – the 22nd seed – has been drawn against Spanish veteran Feliciano Lopez and Queens finalist Cameron Norrie – the 29th seed – faces Lucas Pouille of France.
Wildcard Jack Draper makes his daunting Wimbledon debut against world number one and defending champ Novak Djokovic in the opening match on Centre Court.
Elsewhere in the men’s singles, Liam Broady meets Italy’s Marco Cecchinato while Jay Clarke faces Egor Gerasimov.
Johanna Konta was due to kick off her women’s singles campaign against Katerina Siniakova but the 2017 Wimbledon semi-finalist has been ruled out due to close contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
Francesca Jones is another Wimbledon debutant with a tricky draw after being paired with American teenager Coco Gauff in the first round.
But Emma Raducanu, Heather Watson and Katie Boulter will fancy their chances of reaching the second round after being paired with qualifiers.
