US Open: Konta set for a stern test in this 12/1 Traders treble

Britain's golden girl could be an Aussie again this evening as she faces Margarita Gasparyan in the second round at Flushing Meadows

R Peterson v D Yastremska: Total Sets Over 2.5 @ 6/5

This should be a cracking contest between two relatively evenly matched players. It was impressive with how Yastremska bounced back in her first-round match having lost the second set 6-1 but she won comfortably in the end. Peterson, however, had a straightforward success against Monica Puig.

That form is better than that of her opponent here, with Peterson coming into the tournament in great form having lost a close match against Karolina Pliskova in Cincinnati and hitting form at the right time with a defeat of Sloane Stephens in late July. A close contest looks sure to go to a final set and the 6/5 about it doing so is worth taking.

NEW YORK, NEW YORK – AUGUST 26: Petra Martic of Croatia returns the ball against Tamara Zidansek (not pictured) of Slovenia during their Women’s Singles first round match during day one of the 2019 US Open at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center on August 26, 2019 in the Flushing neighborhood of the Queens borough of New York City. P Martic v A Bogdan: P Martic 2-0 @ 11/10

Martic shocked many with her form in the French Open earlier on in the year and bar a little hiccup throughout August she has been continuing to play well in the months previous.

This strong Croatian should make light work of her assignment today and although Bogdan has performed well qualifying and winning her first-round match easily she looks set for a 2-0 trouncing here.

J Konta v M Gasparyan: Total Sets Over 2.5 @ 13/8

This match is tricky to call as it could go any way. Konta was up against it in her first-round match but ultimately prevailed while Gasparyan is a bit hit and miss, but is capable on her day. She just doesn’t have too many of those days.

A tricky contest to call but could well go to a final set and again the over 2.5 sets is worth taking at 13/8.

The treble comes to just over 12/1
