Wimbledon Women’s Final: Three Best bets you should be on from the Traders

Is there an upset on the cards? Eh, no. No, there's not Clive

So another Wimbledon final comes by and another which sees Serena Williams involved. The American is chasing that elusive 24th major championship, which would tie her with Margaret Court for the most Grand Slam singles titles in the sport’s history. A decent record, not bad, not bad at all Serena.

But this year she faces a renewed and reinvigorated Simona Halep. However, the Romanian has only beaten Serena once in 10 attempts, dating all the way back to 2014. And while stressing her new ‘mentally stronger’ self – and as much as we’d love to see her lift the trophy – we, unfortunately, think Serena will have too much for her. Here are the three best bets you should be thinking about:

Serena Williams

Total Player A Aces – Under 6.5 (Player A = Serena Williams) @ 4/6

So far in the tournament Serena has shown great inconsistencies with her aces stats and the ever-defensive minded Halep won’t help these either. Halep is one of the toughest on the tour to get an ace against and we can see Serena finding it tough tomorrow. Back the unders on this one.

Set Betting 2-0 Serena Williams @5/4

With plenty of match practise from her singles and mixed doubles campaign, Serena’s form has gotten better and better throughout the tournament. She’s still not to the form of previous Wimbledon’s but we feel she has enough in the tank, through her experience and power to overcome Simona. Straight sets here for us @5/4 , Clive.

Game Handicap (-3.5) Serena Williams @10/11

Serena has the experience of playing in a Wimbo final or two, whilst this is the furthest Halep has ever gotten to in this competition. We feel Serena has been gunning for this tournament since the start of the year and she wants that no.24 singles slam badly. Serena should romp home to victory beating the minus handicap @10/11.
