Traders Top Tips for 2019

Most ATP Aces: Nick Kyrgios – 9/2

With an average of 1.36 aces per game compared to the tour average of 0.5, Nick is up there with the best servers in the game.

For a comparison, John Isner (most aces in 2018) had 1,213 aces over 54 matches during a career best season. By contrast, the Australian, who had a dreadful year and didn’t even play the French Open, amassed 713 aces in a mere 36 matches.

There’s some great value here at 9/2 if the notoriously volatile Nick can get things going in the New Year.

Top Ranked American WTA Singles Player: Coco Vandeweghe – 11/2

Coco battled through a recurring ankle injury in 2018 that pushed her to a staggering 100th in the WTA rankings. But rest assured she can easily be a top 10 player if she stays healthy in the coming 12 months.

She has a ridiculous amount of power which can rival the likes of the Williams sisters, while her New York toughness and never say die attitude is always something we’ve admired.

With Sloane Stephens and the aforementioned Serena ‘I don’t cheat…I have a daughter’ Williams the favourites in this market at 2/1 and 3/1 respectively, we feel that the value lies in Coco having a comeback year for the ages.

Top Ranked Year End ATP Player: Alexander Zverev – 7/1

If neither of those tickle your fancy then why not take a shot on the current star of men’s tennis, 21 year old Sasha Zverev, finishing 2019 as the ATP number 1 ranked player?

We are offering a generous 7/1 on this. The German finished 2018 convincingly, winning the Nitto World Tour Finals in November, overcoming the massive pre-tournament favourite Novak Djokovic in the final.
