A deadly double from our tennis traders on the ATP World Tour Finals

Here's where our traders think the money should be going on Federer v Cilic and Zverev v Sock...

R Federer v M Cilic – Federer to win at (-3.5) – 4/6

This game is essentially a dead rubber.

Federer is confirmed as top seed going through to the semi-finals, while Cilic is resigned to his fate and can’t possibly qualify.

Normally you’d stay away from a handicap market with two big servers but Cilic has dropped his serve seven times in two matches, albeit in six sets. The Croat’s form has been weak of late, winning just 50% of his last ten matches and I see Federer taking advantage of this.

Federer should cover the 3.5 and win our hearts all over again.

Zverev to win 2-1 against Sock – 11/4

This one should be close.

The two players share the head to head record with one-apiece, although the last of those matches was in Beijing in 2016. Sock’s confidence should be high with a comeback victory versus Cilic and on the back of winning the luckiest Masters 1000 series you’re ever likely to see.

Zverev’s form, by contrast, has been mixed at best but his last two performances can’t be overlooked where he seemed back to near the top of his game.

Zverev to edge it in a close one.
