This Central European four-fold from our traders could net you a winner

Here's where our traders think your money should be going...

ATP Basel

D Goffin v P Gojowczyk – Total Player Games Under (12.5) – 5/4

The in-form Belgian has been playing scintillating tennis of late, winning two of his last four tournaments. Although he got knocked out relatively early at his home event last week I see that as a positive as he was probably due a rest to recharge the batteries after his back-to-back wins.

Gojowczyk should provide Goffin with a stern test here but the latter’s total player games under (12.5) @ 5/4 is too tempting not to take.

F Mayer v M Cilic – Cilic Total Player Games Under (12.5) – EVS

Cilic is fresh off back to back Semi Finals at Shanghai and Tokyo and will look to keep that form going when he plays Florian Mayer today. The banal Mayer has lost four of his last five matches and has already lost twice to Cilic this year (both times in straight sets).

Look to Cilic to progress easily today.

R Federer v F Tiafoe – Tiafoe Game Handicap (+5.5) – 8/11

One is always playing with fire when they back against the genius of Roger Federer but Tiafoe has more to gain from a victory in this match as he is trying to secure a spot at the Next Gen Tour Finals in Milan next month.

The two have met twice in the past (both times this year) with their most recent meeting at the US Open being a five set thriller. Men lie and women lie, but stats don’t, and the statistics on these players head to head show that Federer has never beaten Tiafoe by more than 4 games (granted the sample size is small J ).

ATP Vienna

Querrey v Ramos-Vinolas – Ramos-Vinolas +3.5 – 8/11

Big Sam has struggled since a quarter final loss in the US Open, winning only two matches since then. Today, he faces off against another man who has been out of form of late, however Ramos does have a good record against Querrey beating him in three of their four career meetings.

Ramos should also be more familiar with the courts in Vienna, with this being his 3rd time playing here. He lost to eventual runner up last year, Tsonga and should be able to keep this match close.
