After Kyle Edmund’s defeat yesterday, four British players are through to the third round of Wimbledon – with Paddy Power offering odds of 9/1 that they all progress.
British number ones Andy Murray (1/18) and Johanna Konta (1/7) are each heavy favourites to win their ties, while Heather Watson (2/1) and Aljaz Bedene (15/8) face tougher tasks.
In the outright market, Konta (5/1) is now favourite to claim the women’s crown after Karolina Pliskova crashed out last night – while Murray (4/1) has leap-frogged Novak Djokovic into third favourite for the men’s.

It’s 33/1 that both the men’s and women’s Wimbledon singles titles are claimed by a Brit.
Asked about the hopes of the Brits spokesman Paddy Power said: “Given his injury problems, many thought Andy Murray would be hip-hip away as the only homegrown chance this week – but, instead, he’s led a pack of British hopefuls.
“But, while Watson and Bedene look unlikely to progress any further, Murray should be matched stride for stride for new second-favourite Jo Konta.”
