One year on from an incredible night in Liverpool, the Eurovision Song Contest is returning for 2024.
Last year’s event was hosted in the UK, on behalf of 2022 winners Ukraine, and Sweden claimed victory for a record-equalling seventh time with the song ‘Tattoo’ by Loreen.
The latest competition will mark 50 years since pop group ABBA – you’ve probably heard of them… – famously lifted the trophy and there are rumours they could make a return to their home country during the interval.
Malmo will be the host city and the UK will be hoping to go one better than their second-placed finish in 2022 and claim victory, or at least avoid nil points!
They are pulling out all the stops with their entry this year, which is a household name.
You can find all the latest Eurovision 2024 odds on the Paddy Power website and Paddy Power app, otherwise, here’s everything you need to know about the UK entry.
- UPDATE: Bets across all markets on the Netherlands have been refunded after they were disqualified from the competition on Saturday morning.
Who is representing the UK in Eurovision 2024?
It was a bit of a shock when it was announced last December that Olly Alexander would be the UK’s 2024 Eurovision entry.
The former Years & Years frontman is embarking on his first solo project and will head to the Grand Final in Malmo with his track ‘Dizzy’.
He’s headlined festivals across the world and will certainly have a lot of fans on the continent, which could help the UK’s chances at finally winning.
