Who is representing Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 final?

Our first finalist in six years!

Bambie Thug

Eurovision is back with a bang with the 68th edition of the contest taking place in Malmo, Sweden this week.

The fiesta is heading to the Scandinavian country for the seventh time after Loreen landed the spoils at last year’s fiesta with her song ‘Tattoo’.

The only other country to win the contest seven times is, of course, Ireland. After four unsuccessful attempts to reach the Grand Final since Ryan O’Shaughnessy in 2018, we’ll be taking our place in this year’s showpiece after a successful semi-final appearance.

Who knows maybe Dublin will be the host for 2025! You can find all the Eurovision 2024 odds on the Paddy Power website and Paddy Power app, otherwise, here’s everything you need to know about the Irish entry.

  • UPDATE: Bets across all markets on the Netherlands have been refunded after they were disqualified from the competition on Saturday morning.

Who is representing Ireland in Eurovision 2024?

Ireland’s entry into the contest is singer Bambie Thug. The artist is from Macroom, County Cork and won Eurosong 2024 on RTÉ back in January.

Bambie Thug beat off five other acts with their song ‘Doomsday Blue’ to win the vote, which was a jury combined by the public. A spellbinding performance in the semi-finals on Tuesday, May 7 earned them a spot in the final on Saturday, May 11.

The buzz has been building and we could be looking at our best finish in the 21st century.
