Eurovision 2022 Odds
The 2022 Eurovision Song Contest takes place amid the backdrop of Mad Vlad’s invasion of Ukraine. They’ll still be represented in the competition, however, by the Kalush Orchestra performing ‘Stefania’, a particularly funky fusion of folk and rap.
It’s been a succession of humiliations for the UK at Eurovision in recent years but Sam Ryder could – whisper it quietly – end the country’s 25 years of hurt at the continent’s premier singing competition.
Sweden’s slick Europop anthem ‘Hold Me Closer’ proved popular with the audience at the second semi-final as Cornelia Jakobs progressed to Saturday’s showpiece event.
