Strictly Come Dancing 2020 winner odds: Amfo and George early favourites to waltz away with Glitterball Trophy

Sequins at the ready... not even a global pandemic can stop the Strictly juggernaut.

Strictly Come Dancing 2020

Strictly Come Dancing have revealed six contestants that are officially on the line-up for this year’s show, and Paddy’s been busy pricing up who’s going to be dancing in glee and who’s set for a fall.

We have listed Radio 1 DJ Clara Amfo and The Wanted singer Max George as the joint early favourites to lift the Glitterball Trophy.

In second-favourite position is boxer Nicola Adams, who is the first contestant in the history of Strictly to dance in a same-sex couple. It’s rated odds-on that every future series of the show from now on features partners of the same sex.

Next up in the market is former NFL star and BBC sports presenter Jason Bell followed by Ranvir Singh off the telly and actor Caroline Quentin. The full market will be updated when further contestants are announced.

And, with stars and professional dancers having to stay in a hotel together to isolate, the bookies make it odds-on that the famous ‘Strictly curse’ strikes again in 2020. It’s also rated 6/1 that three or more contestants split with their real-life partners as a result of this series.

Though the changes due to the show due to lockdown restrictions are predicted to have a good impact on viewing figures, as it’s also odds on that it records its highest numbers ever.

Spokesman Paddy Power said: “We’ve had our first teaser of Strictly contestants ahead of the show’s launch next month, and it’s Clara Amfo and Max George who lead the pack at the moment.

“We’re also short-priced on an appearance from the dreaded Strictly curse, since contestants will be forced to be closer than ever thanks to isolation rules.”

Oti Mabuse is the early favourite to be crowned as the professional dancer to win with Katya Jones in second while your mum’s favourite Anton Du Beke is something of an outsider – but he’s not the longest price to win.
