Front room to ballroom: Scarlett Moffatt odds slashed to join Strictly 2018

The former Gogglebox star is trained in ballroom dancing, and has previously hinted that the end of the year would be ‘great fun’ for her – making her now 3/1 from 6/1 to be on the latest series.

After impressing BBC bosses with her presenting role during the Royal Wedding, there has been a large, sustained series of bets on her to put on her to be a contestant.

Of those currently announced, Steps star Faye Tozer is the 5/1 favourite to scoop the glitterball trophy, followed by Joe Sugg at 8/1.

Meanwhile, Tom Daley (7/2), Jessica Ennis-Hill (3/1) and Maya Jama (7/1) have also been well-backed to join those announced for the series.

Spokesman Paddy Power said: “From armchair to jungle to dancefloor, Scarlett Moffatt has long been linked with Strictly.

“Now the contestants are being announced, we’ve seen loads of punters backing her to be on this year’s edition and have had to cut the price.”
