We’ve got the semi finals of the German Masters snooker taking place this afternoon and this evening so let’s see if we can whittle out a couple of winners over in Berlin. Both Ali Carter and Jack Lisowski will be feeling the pressure of expectation and reputation.
NEW TO PADDY POWER NEWS?
Carter and Robert Milkins are first up. The latter banged in a 147 last night and a 146 in an earlier match. He only plays one way which is all out attack and he does it very well. Carter is not as good as he was and I think Milkins is a ‘steal’ here so it’s Milkins to Win.
7pm: Tom Ford v Jack Lisowski – Ford to Win
The other match is harder to come to a verdict. Ford was disappointing in last night’s quarter final. Despite winning comfortably he threw his cue at a few pressure shots and missed them by the proverbial mile. He also struggled with judging the bounce off the cushions.
He takes on Lisowski who has been in six finals in his career and has failed to lift a trophy. Lisowski will put himself under the pressure of expectation and that could be the key. Ford needs to improve and he probably needs Lisowski’s cue arm to tighten up a bit which I think is quite likely. I think this could be a nervy affair but I’m backing Ford to Win.
