Hossein Vafaei to beat Jack Lisowski

Now Hossein Vafaei was very good against Mark Selby, who was playing quite well when he knocked him out in the last round, and Vafaei is trying to make the top sixteen in the world. So this is a crucial match for him. Now the two players met in the last sixteen of this tournament last year, with Lisowski emerging successful by six frames to four.

But I think for Vafaei can reverse the form. After knocking out the brilliant Mark Selby, and Jack Lisowski, even though he has his own brilliance, he is inclined to miss the odd ball, and Vafaei is very capable of mopping up frames in one or two visits. So even though he’s the outsider, I’m hot on Hossain buffet this evening.

Joe Perry v Stuart Bingham – Over 9.5 frames

Joe Perry is in very good form. He knocked out an out of form Neil Robertson in the last round.

But prior to that, he beat Graham Dott 6-0. So he’s beaten two previous world champions in his last two matches.

Stuart Bingham is really solid, so I can’t split this pair. I think the bet and the other match is for it to go close. So over nine and a half frames will do me. All you want is either player to win 6-5, or 6-4 and I think that’s going to happen.
