Snooker legend John Parrot has given us his verdict on Mark Selby and Ronnie O’Sullivan’s World Championship semi-final which starts tonight at 7pm.
The Rocket has been making headlines again in the last few days with his post-match interviews, but will he let the cue do the talking and book a spot in the final?
Here’s John’s best bets for the match and you can watch the great man’s whole preview below.
Mark Selby to win (+2.5)
It’s a real head-scratcher. This is one of those games that could go either way. O’Sullivan could come out and blitz him or he could get fed up and not enjoy the match at all because Selby’s but the screw on to him, so it’s a real sticky one.
O’Sullivan in his interview last night wasn’t great, I don’t know how to read that, although you should never read too much into what Ronnie says anyway!
I think Selby’s going to be tough to beat over three days. I think his confidence is sky-high, he was very good in his match against Neil Robertson and Robertson was playing some good stuff.
I can see Selby winning this match, it’s going to be a war of attrition. I’d be interested in backing Selby on the handicap.
First Session: Draw
I think it’s going to be pretty close to start off in this first session. I’d be tempted with the draw after the session of day one, but I think Selby might grind him down over the long distance.
