Snooker Tips: Three best bets for Thursday’s Championship League ties with Stuart Bingham in action

Will Bingham bring home the bacon? Paddy Power trader James Dolphin delivers his verdict...

Stuart Bingham heads the betting in the Final Group of the Championship League 2020 where he’s followed by Ryan Day, Luca Brecel and Ben Woollaston.

Stuart Bingham to win the group

Bingham has been very consistent throughout the tournament and while he is yet to score a century, he has made a break of 50 or more in 14 out of 21 frames. He pulled a similar trick earlier this season en-route to his Masters title when he reached the final without scoring a century, so perhaps a similar fate awaits him.

He showed great timing in reserving his best performance of the tournament against Ronnie O’Sullivan where he had to beat him 3-0 to progress to today’s final stage.

Ryan Day to beat Luca Brecel

Ryan Day had been somewhat written off prior to the tournament with very little in terms of form all this season, and was available to back at 125/1 pre-tournament which looks a big price now. He will represent the main threat to Bingham’s success today having been very impressive throughout.

Luca Brecel has managed to reach the final’s group despite only winning 2 out of his 6 matches thus far. And while he always he is always capable of beating anyone it’s tough to fancy him on form, especially against Day.

Ben Woollaston to beat Luca Brecel

The outsider of the group is Ben Woollaston, who arguably had the single match performance of the tournament when beating Tom Ford 3-0 with 3 centuries and not a single point in reply from Ford. He has been quite impressive and may cause an upset in one or two of his matches today, with the Brecel clash looking most likely.

Today’s best bets for Championship League snooker:

Stuart Bingham to win the Group
Ryan Day to bat Luca Brecel
Ben Woollaston to beat Luca Brecel
