Watch: Ronnie O’Sullivan lands sensational pot with white wedged to the top cushion

The Rocket just gets better and better…

There’s few sights more satisfying in sport then watching snooker supremo Ronnie O’Sullivan in full flight and he gave us another treat during today’s UK Championship final.

The Rocket is facing Shaun Murphy in York as he hunts for his third ranking title of the 2017/18 season, having already won the English Open and Shanghai Masters earlier in the campaign.

Leading 4-3 in the eight frame, Murphy must have thought he’d done enough to keep the white safe after landing it right on the top cushion.

However, O’Sullivan was having none of it and pulled off one of the shots of the tournament with a beautiful long range, thin cut to send the red into the bottom corner pocket.

Thankfully, Eurosport UK captured the moment and put it on Twitter for us all to enjoy. Catch it below:

The Rocket wasn’t done there and in the same frame landed this lovely double to boot:

However, it was all in vain, as a break of 52 saw Murphy steal the final frame on the last black of the session with a scoreline of 57-60. That left the pair locked at 4-4 heading into the evening session.
