No surprises at the Crucible for the Entertainer

We're rubbish at snooker down in the local

So we rang up the 1981 World Champions John Parrott to get his view on Tuesday's action at the Crucible

It’s been an incredible start to the Snooker World Championship in the Crucible. We’ve already seen three world champions go out of the tournament and we’re not even on day four yet. Stuart Bingham, Peter Ebdon and Shaun Murphy have all exited in round one. We’ve got another former champion entering the fray on Tuesday, one of the main contenders for this year in Neil Robertson. The Thunder from Down Under makes up my 4/1 treble alongside Barry Hawkins and Mark Allen all to win with the handicap of -4.5 frames.

Neil Robertson vs Michael Holt – 10am bet now

Indeed it is the 2010 champion that opens up Tuesday’s action in Sheffield. I can see Holt starting quickly, but if Robertson turns up anywhere near his normal form I think his game is perfect. Back him with the handicap too at odds of

Barry Hawkins vs Zhang Anda – 7pm – Bet now

Barry Hawkins is the kind of ‘nearly man’ of snooker. He’s always a danger to whoever he’s playing, but hasn’t been able to capitalize on his ability in the ranking majors. I expect his match play and Crucible experience to blast Zhang Anda, who isn’t a bad player after coming through the Chinese qualifiers, out of the tournament in style. Hawkins -4.5 at odds of
