Rugby World Cup 2023 fixtures, results, schedule and TV coverage

20 teams battle it out for the Webb Ellis Cup!

Comments

Rugby fever is set to sweep the globe as France stages the 10th edition of the World Cup from Friday, September 8 to Saturday, October 28.

South Africa head into the tournament as the defending champions after demolishing England in the 2019 Rugby World Cup final.

The Springboks are among the favourites to retain their crown, but Ireland will fancy their chances of lifting the Webb Ellis Cup after completing the Grand Slam in this year’s Six Nations and climbing to the top of the world rankings.

Conversely, England headed into the tournament at rock bottom after losing five of their last six internationals, including a 30-22 defeat to Fiji, and the pressure is building on Steve Borthwick and his side.

Scotland have enjoyed some decent results in 2023 but face a challenge to progress from the pool stage after being drawn with Ireland and South Africa, while Wales were disappointing in the Six Nations and have a point to prove.
