Italy v Ireland
We’re looking at week three of the 2023 Six Nations and we’ve been flying in recent weeks. It’s a dangerous Italy team looking for a major upset against Ireland at 2.15 on Saturday but I think Ireland will come through this one and I think I’m pretty safe in saying that.
Ireland have won all but one of their 22 Six Nations games with Italy, their sole defeat a 22-15 defeat in Rome back in 2013. Ireland have dominated their recent encounters with Italy and won 57-6 at the Aviva last year.
Ireland to win by 8-14 points
Italy are playing really attractive rugby. In terms of a match verdict, well, there’s been a bit of change-up in the starting side, and I think that is bound to have an effect on the Irish performance and it might dip slightly. I’d be looking at Ireland to win by 8-14 points in terms of the match verdict.

We went with Hugo Keenan last time and he did the business against France, scoring the opening try of the game to see that bet click nice and early.
The Leinster full back is on fire and has been the player of the tournament so far for me. Against the worst side in the Six Nations, Keenan to Score A Try Anytime at better than even money is a good bet.
Weekend Treble
Looking at a Six Nations treble I think Ireland will get a win against Italy but not a huge one as outlined above. I think Italy might cover the (+21.5) handicap with a few points to spare. With everything that’s going on in Welsh rugby I don’t think home advantage is going to count for a whole lot if I’m honest. I think England will scrape a Win against Wales.
The big key to this treble is France v Scotland on Sunday. I’m not convinced about Scotland, I think France put in a massive performance against Ireland last time out and I can see them giving Scotland a but of a thumping. I’m going for France Half Time/Full Time Double Result to round off our treble.
