SATURDAY 2.15pm: ITALY V IRELAND
ITV1/Virgin Media 1
I think if I were looking at a bet on the Handicap it would have to be Italy +22. There were signs of improvement in their last performance at Twickenham before England ran away in the second half and, with Ireland having yet to really show much in an attacking sense so far, I could see it being tight early on here once again.
Anytime Tryscorer: Robbie Henshaw
I would be going with Robbie Henshaw here. He’s been one of Ireland’s best performers in the opening couple of weeks and will be looking to get off the mark and to add to the two tries he got in last year’s Championship.
SATURDAY 4.45pm: WALES V ENGLAND
BBC1/Virgin Media 1
I would be siding with Wales +6 here. They are strengthened by the returns of Josh Adams, Jonathan Davies, and Josh Navidi, and although they have been somewhat fortunate playing against 14 men for the majority of their opening two games, they have shown the ability to dig out a result and I see this being another close encounter. It is interesting to note that since 2005, Wales have hosted England on eight occasions in the Six Nations with England’s biggest margin of victory just seven points back in 2011. I could well see an upset on the cards here, and I think Wales have a real chance.
Back after being unavailable for Wales’ first two games, Josh Adams comes straight into the team. He already has an impressive 14 tries in just 28 tests and will be looking to replicate his try-scoring performance from the last time these two met in Cardiff back in 2019.
