Watch: Scarlets score try of the ages in Champions Cup win

Some lovely off-the-cuff stuff…

The Scarlets picked up an impressive win at English Premiership side Bath to keep themselves top of Pool 5 in the Champions Cup and scored one of the most sensational tries of the season in the process.

The Welsh outfit’s swashbuckling style is compulsive viewing for lovers of egg chasing and it paid off again last night as they ran out 35-17, bonus point winners at the Rec.

It was their first score of the night that grabbed the headlines though, as Munster-bound flanker Tadhg Beirne finished off a marvellous move that started back inside his side’s own 22.

Offloading for fun, The Scarlets absolutely tore the Bath defence apart and Beirne’s super step at the end, put the icing on the cake of a terrific try. Which you can watch for yourself, thanks to BT Sport on Twitter below:

As hard as it is to believe, it wasn’t the only moment of magic in last night’s contest as Bath’s winger Matt Banahan come up with this classy consolation in the second half.

How on earth did he get that down? Hopefully, we’ll get more of the same over this weekend ties in the Champions Cup!
