Paddy’s Perfect Challenge: Watch Live as Six World Class Pro’s attempt to answer sports’ biggest question

It's an age-old debate but Paddy will get to the bottom of it!

As we build up to greatest sporting occasion of the year – yes, the Paddy Power-sponsored PDC World Championships – we’re attempting to resolve one of the longest running sporting debates. Which is harder: A nine-dart finish, a maximum break in snooker or a hole in one in golf?

Everyone has their own opinion and we’re sure there are many of you out there that probably reckon you can pull off all three.

Rather than you quickly ordering a dart board on next day delivery, why not check out Paddy’s Perfect Challenge on the Paddy Power Youtube channel?

It’s a two-hour live show streamed across Paddy Power social channels on Wednesday, 4th December, at 12pm and will be live-streamed on Paddy Power and the PDC’s X, Facebook and YouTube channels. Players have been given two hours to achieve their feats.

Let’s settle on one the great pub debates once and for all!

In our studio in Manchester, Luke Humphries and Michael van Gerwen will attempt to hit a nine-darter, while Shaun Murphy and Mark Williams will attempt a 147 break. The always-brilliant Paddy ambassador Emma Paton will also be hosting the event.

Meanwhile, we’ll be beaming live from the Hertsmere in London where presenter Georgie Bingham will be joined by the English duo of  Matt Wallace and Ross Fisher as they attempt a hole in one.

They will be supported by our celebrity golfers Peter Crouch, Tony Bellew and the big man Paddy Power himself, who will all have a go at hitting an ace on the 141 yard par three.

Did someone say shank?

We’re putting on the event ahead of the Paddy Power World Darts Championship, which kicks off on December 15.

Paddy Power announced last week they would once again be donating £1,000 to Prostate Cancer UK for every 180 scored during the tournament as part of their BIGGER 180 campaign, while also putting up a colossal £180,000 bonus every time a player nails a nine-darter. The mega prize will be split equally between Prostate Cancer UK, the player who throws the perfect leg, and one lucky fan in the iconic Ally Pally crowd.

Last year, The Big 180 campaign raised £1million to support Prostate Cancer UK’s lifesaving risk awareness work after 914 180s were hit, with Paddy Power rounding up the final donation to the seven-figure sum. This year, the campaign aims to smash that total, with funds supporting Prostate Cancer UK’s groundbreaking TRANSFORM trial. As the most ambitious prostate cancer screening trial ever, TRANSFORM will find the best way to diagnose the disease early – and pave the way for a national screening programme that could save thousands of lives.

Paddy Power himself said: “Our finance department have been getting a bit nervy after hearing of our mad-cap idea to put up £180,000 for every nine-darter at Ally Pally this year, but I myself hope there’s an absolute lorry load!

“A little bit of extra practise for Luke and MVG can’t hurt – and I can’t wait to see us answer sport’s greatest questions in the process.”

Paddy’s Perfect Challenge will take place on Wednesday, Dec 4th at 12 noon –  click here to view on the Paddy Power YouTube channel.
