Paddy has dispatched the Asterisk Task Force after Manchster City won their fourth consecutive Premier League title* on Sunday.
The specialised unit** was set up to deliver and place asterisks to honours lists across the UK and Ireland whereby a sporting achievement is considered tainted.
With City clocking up an impressive 115 alleged FFP charges in addition to their latest success against West Ham yesterday, our fearless leader sent in the lads to take care of matters at the Etihad Stadium.
An Asterisk Delivery van was photographed outside the venue, unloading what the task force claimed was their biggest asterisk yet.
From biddies competing in the local Indoor Bowls Championship on beta- blockers to breaches of Financial Fair Play, they have an asterisk for any job, big or small.
The Asterisk Task Force is on call 24/7, but this latest report pushed even our most seasoned experts to their limits. They had to call for reinforcements when they ran out in the trophy room***.
Several other clubs have received varying degrees of punishment for breaching financial rules of late.
But for now, the Blues cruise on, albeit with a HUGE ASTERISK beside their achievements in the interim across nine seasons thanks to Paddy.
