Unless you’ve been living under a rock, hate having a good time or despise laughing, you’ll know that the Paddy Power Comedy Festival is back and bigger than ever in Dublin from Thursday 27th to Sunday 30th of July.
The first chuckle is just a few days away now and if you’re still umming and ahhing over whether to get involved, we’ve complied a quick list of some of the brightest highlights.
We’ve narrowed it down to just 11 things to get stuck into but, with 90 acts performing across four venues over four days, the laughs will be limitless!
The Paddy Power Comedy Festival is back, so we went to the standup capital of the world to ask New Yorkers about their favourite comedians…

World Class acts – We’ve gathered some of the funniest people on the planet from Dara Ó Briain, Tommy Tiernan, Reggie Watts, Jason Byrne, Adam Hills, Phoebe Robinson, Milton Jones, Neil Delamere and more, right through to the one and only Owen Colgan.
More Is More – Everyone has a differing taste in comedy, but Paddy’s got literally something for everyone with not 10 comedians, not 20 comedians, not even 50 comedians but 90 (yes, NINTEY) different acts across the four days.
Location, Location, Location – Hosted in the beautiful Iveagh Gardens south of the river in Dublin you can *ahem* waterfall off your chair laughing at a convenient location.
Laugh Like A VIP – Laugh in style with Paddy’s Green Room. Complete with a timeless lucky pants vending machine, bar, snacks, Wonder Wheel and Pete Pong where the aim is to bounce an olive into Crouchy’s Cocktail to win a prize. There’s even the chance to create your own Paddy Power style bobble head. Well worth the entrance fee alone, that.
Take The Stage – We’ll be hosting a whopping four venues across the festival at the The Bleedin’ Massive Stage, The Craic Den, The Only Joke Inn and The Free Gaff.
Laugh All Day – There will be nine separate time slots across the four days with two evening sessions on the Thursday and Friday as well as three on the Saturday (the first session starts at 4.30pm and the final at 9.30pm) and two on the Sunday.
The Craic Den – As part of the Paddy Power Comedy Festival we’ll be sponsoring The Craic Den on Virgin Media so you’ll be laughing whether you can make it to Dublin or not.
Paddy’s Patio – Come in and party like Paddy with all the fun and games you’d expect in the big man’s very own back yard – complete with well stocked bar.
Pick Your Poison – Whether you want to splash out or have some craic on the cheap there’s a range of tickets available at differing prices from €15-36 per ticket (plus some booking fees) so you can get some serious bang for your buck HERE.
Free Stuff – It’s not a Paddy party without generous lashings of free tickets, pants and other vitally essential knick-knacks on offer throughout the event.
Let’s Be Social – We’ve even for our own hashtag for the event so you can brag ever-so-humbly on social media that you’re there. And, if you pop a little #PPComedyFestival or #PaddyPowerComedyFestival on your tweets, you’ll see our magical emoji too.
