Horse racing punter turns pennies into nearly £5,000 with amazing 12,385/1 sixfold

A 12,385/1 winner - what are the chances, eh?

Dundalk

One of Paddy’s plucky punters has done it again – at odds of over 12,000/1!

And this shrewdie might be wondering what might’ve been having put €0.38 on his sixfold racing winner from Friday’s racecards at Newcastle and Dundalk. Still, a payout of €4,707 is nothing to sniff at. No coronavirus jokes, please.

This punter blew our traders away with their clever choices across the evening races and will be well set for Cheltenham with this win after his sweet sextet showed whopping return at total odds of 12,385/1 from Newcastle and Dundalk’s Friday night frolics.

They really don’t call it Fundalk for nothing.

The wild run of winners all got started with Jerandme taking the 6.00 in the Irish meeting at 10/3, before  Buniann coasted home 15 minutes later over on Tyneside at 9/2.

Not a bad start, but things got really interesting when the 8/1 Mountain Brave upset the 11/10 favourite Dark Silver in the 6.45 at Newcastle to really put the cat among the pigeons – or magpies, if you prefer.

That said, the €0.38 stake would”ve returned just €81 for those three bets in an acca – not bad for a bet not much more than a Freddo bar, but not exactly Paddy’s Punting Hall of Fame worthy either

Hold your horses though, Jon Bon Jovi, we’re only halfway there. Relax.

That’s because it was back across the Irish Sea for the final flurry of winners, as Crossfirehurricane in the 7.00 edged ahead in storming finish to win at 5/2 before Major Power did all he could to stay ahead at the line and win at 5/1 half an hour later.

That meant this acca was up to five winners from six, a bet that would’ve returned over €1,700 from this pocket-change punt on its own, and all of which was riding on San Andreas in the 8.00. His win at Dundalk had us quaking in our boots and meant the final return on this super sixfold almost eclipsed the €5,000 mark – just €0.03 more would had the total return at €5.078 – as the Joseph O’Brien horse rumbled and rocked home at 7/4 to bring this punter’s total win to €4,707.

What a sensational showing under the Friday Night lights.
