A punter from Derbyshire landed an eye-watering 23,496/1 acca on the final day of the Premier League season, but failed to notice his win until earlier today.
The lucky lad logged into his Paddy Power account to discover he’d won £117,485.16 on a bet he’d placed on May 12, the final day of the Premier League season.
His 10-fold accumulator, correctly predicted the result of every game including three draws – and that Cardiff would beat Manchester United – their first win at Old Trafford since 1954.
His selections were Man City to beat Brighton to secure the title, Arsenal to beat Burnley, Crystal Palace to beat Bournemouth, Newcastle to beat Fulham, Leicester and Chelsea to draw, Liverpool to beat Wolves, Southampton and Huddersfield to draw, Tottenham and Everton to draw and West Ham to beat Watford.
Spokesman Paddy Power said: “Like finding a winning lottery ticket down the back of the sofa, this punter hadn’t realised he was over £117,000 richer from an accumulator he had on the last day of the season.
“He predicted the result of every game, including a loss for United against Cardiff, which in hindsight could’ve been the most obvious of the lot – but didn’t find out until 10 days after the event!”
