To say the Dubliner was over-whelmed by the two-night all expenses paid trip was an understatement, when Paddy Power News caught up with him.

How did you feel when you found out you’d won? What was your first thought?
I was shocked, couldn’t believe it, Diarmuid told Paddy Power News. I’d never won a prize like this before in my life.
Was it a tough decision to pick who to bring?
Yeah, but thankfully I’ve a big family and everyone I asked was available, as you can imagine.
What were the big differences between a game in England and Germany?
The Bayern fans kept up the chanting for their side even though they were beaten 3-0 at home! I don’t know if you’d see that too often in a Premier League game.
What did you place your free €1,000 bet on?
I backed Bayern Munich to win and both teams to score – but there was never a chance of it happening by half time as the home side were already 0-2 down!
Would you go back if you could?
Definitely, but it would be impossible to match the trip.
What did you think of the festival?
It’s so hard to pin-point one thing but the tent at Oktoberfest was amazing.
Will you be entering Paddy’s Rewards Club competitions again?
Definitely, I’ll be all over the Paddy’s Rewards Club draws forever after this experience.
