You might have seen that we’ve been giving away free money over the past day or two.
As part of our Finders Keepers cash drop promo, we simply added a sh*tload of money into a random Paddy Power customer’s account, and then added another sh*tload if that person didn’t log in to claim it within an hour. It turned that a few unlucky b*stards missed out on a windfall by not logging in, but that just meant the amount kept rising.
Which was great for the two lucky recipients of the first pair of cash drops. They won a cool £/€13,000 each.
One of them, John from Ireland, told us, “I didn’t know of the promotion. I opened the app that evening to see over 13k in it, and thought Paddy had made a mistake and it would change back to my actual balance. But I looked at it again 20 minutes later and it was still there! I had a tip and put €5 each-way on a horse in Chelmsford – which lost. I then got a call from a Paddy Power representative who informed me that I was a winner of the cash! I was shocked but obviously over the moon with the news.”
John also mentioned that he was planning to go on ‘a few holidays’. Well for you, John! But as for the rest of you, there’s no need to be jealous. We’ll be running this again.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- Applies to all active Paddy Power accounts on desktop, mobile and tablets.
- At midday on Thursday 15th February we will randomly place €/£10,000 into a random customers account. This will remain in place until 1 hour later where if the money is unclaimed it will be withdrawn and relocated.
- If the money is not found within an hour the prize sum will be increased by €/£1,000 until it is claimed. The cash drop will start at midday and end at 8pm on Thursday 15th If €/£50,000 has not been given away the cash drop will resume again on Monday 19th February until the total amount has been won.
- The prize can be claimed by logging into your account within an hour of the money being placed there and must be claimed by withdrawing some or all of the funds or by placing a bet/playing with some of the cash
- If the chosen account(s) has not withdrawn some or all of the funds or either placed a bet with the cash (on sports) or played with the cash (on any other product) Paddy Power will remove and re-locate the prize
- If the money is claimed at any stage during the giveaway, the cash drop will begin again with €/£10,000 dropped into a new random customers account until at total of €/£50,000 is given away
- The money will be credited to your account and you will have an hour to claim it by logging in and either withdrawing or placing a bet with some of the money.
- The prize will come in the form of withdrawable cash.
- Customers have one hour to log in and claim the cash, otherwise it will be placed in another account
- Log in times will be confirmed by Paddy Power in the instance of a dispute
- The money will be placed at random and customers will not receive notification of the prize drop in their account
- Paddy Power reserves the right, at its discretion, to exclude certain customers from this promotion and to change the terms or availability of this offer at any time.
