Trump Visit: Odds on Big Don bogeying and boogieing whilst in Clare

I got the Clare jersey one in the office sweepstakes

Well, there’s no football on so the only next bit of entertainment to come is big old Donald’s trip over to Ireland. Yep, we’ve nothing better to do so we’ve come up with some odds on what the US President will get up to during his visit to Doonbeg, from bogeying on his golf course to boogieing in Queens Nightclub in Ennis, and everything in between.

It is long odds but at 100/1 it might be worth a punt that Taoiseach Leo Varadkar will greet Trump with a high five. We’ve also stuck it in at EVENS that the American head of state will speak Irish during one of his official speeches. Meanwhile it’s 150/1 that Big Don will be spotted in Queens Nightclub in Ennis, and the same speculative odds that he will issue a pardon to all illegal Irish residing in the US while he is here.

However, if you’re looking for more of a sure thing, we feel it is highly likely (1/2) that Trump will be photographed drinking a pint of the black stuff during his visit, much like his predecessor, Barack Obama did during his trip to Moneygall in 2011, and it’s even shorter odds (1/3) that FLOTUS fashionista Melania Trump will wear a green dress during their visit. My favourite is the 4/1 for him to be pictured holding a hurl.

Trump has kept much of the details of his private visit to Ireland under wraps, so his activities while he’s here are about as predictable as his outbursts on Twitter over the past 24 hours – anything could happen. We are looking forward to watching how things unfold though. With so many protests planned, it could be a stormy few days.

We have a few to whet the palette below but check out all the specials here.

4/1        Trump to be pictured holding a hurl
25/1      Trump to announce he’s buying another Irish golf course
66/1      Trump to get a hole in one at Doonbeg
10/11    Trump to gift Leo a MAGA hat
