The likelihood of Theresa May no longer being Prime Minister by the end of the month has increased, following a flood of bets with Paddy Power.
The bookmakers have slashed the price from 10/1 to 3/1 this morning (Wednesday), following a large series of wagers both online and in shops.
In March, the PM promised to stand down if her Brexit deal was supported by Parliament, but it wasn’t and she didn’t.
Boris Johnson is the favourite to succeed her at 6/4, followed by Dominic Raab (6/1), Jeremy Corbyn (8/1), Jeremy Hunt, Michael Gove (both 11/1) and Sajid Javid (14/1).
Spokesman Paddy Power said: “We’ve been inundated with bets this morning that Theresa May will be gone by the end of, erm, May.
“The wagers have been both online and in our stores, forcing us to heavily cut the price on her departure – which could be sooner than we all thought.”
