Royal baby: Odds fall on baby to be called ‘Theodore’

Plenty of Theo-rising going on

We’ve slashed the odds of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s newborn being called Theodore.

The odds tumbled from 16/1 to 5/1 in the last two hours following a surge of bets on the moniker.

The favourite name is still Alexander at 7/2, but Theodore now sits just behind second-favourites Spencer and James (both 4/1) and level with Arthur and Albert.

Spokesman Paddy Power said: “We’ve seen a big increase in the number of bets placed on the name Theodore today – causing us to cut the price in the last few minutes.

“After our first sighting of Baby Sussex, bettors are no doubt excited and Theo-rising about when the name will be announced, and indeed what it will be. By the looks of things – the baby must look like a Theodore.”
