We’ve stopped taking bets on Meghan Markle giving birth to twins, following a flurry of bets on Friday morning.
There have been an ‘abnormal’ number of bets on twins, forcing us to refuse to take any further wagers – the price was as high as 5/1 before the suspension.
Diana (8/1) still remains the favourite name for Prince Harry and Meghan’s child, though Arthur (12/1) has also been popular in the betting – perhaps now they can use both.
Spokesman Paddy Power said: “An unprecedented amount of bets on Meghan and Harry to have twins has forced us to stop taking bets on the market altogether this morning.
“Since the day began, the stream of bets has led us to believe that perhaps the punters – or an insider source – knows something more than we do.”
