Nat Coombs: Here’s your cheat sheet of great Fantasy League Week 4 picks

We got you covered

Don’t risk having a bad day at the office in your daily fantasy league. Here’s a cheat sheet of great picks to send your team top of the division this weekend.

Hang your hopes on…

Daniel Jones (£7,300, 16.7 FPPG ) & Sterling Shepard (£6,500, 15.39 FPPG) — NYG Vs. WAS

Giants quarterback Jones combined with wide-receiver Shepherd for over 100 yards and a touchdown as the pair navigated a comeback against the Bucs. “Danny Dimes”, as Jones is being called, gave the offence more juice and Shepherd is filling the hole left by Odell Beckham Jr.

Saquon Barkley’s absence in the Giant’s Week 4 matchup against an unimpressive Redskins defence poses a Pandora’s box dilemma for fantasy managers. Yes, the Giants’ offence will take a hit but expect them to air it out a little more and bet Jones and Shepherd to reflect that in their points totals.

Jameis Winston (£7,500, 16.59 FPPG) & Mike Evans (£7,700, 17.63 FPPG)- TB @ LAR

Bucs quarterback Winston has improved under “QB whisperer” Bruce Arians, and he showed as much when he combined for three first-half touchdowns with star wideout Mike Evans in last week’s defeat to the Giants. Evans is one of the most productive receivers in the league and will be heavily leant on once again this week if the Buccaneers are to beat the Super Bowl runners-up LA Rams.

Going BIG: the top player

Russell Wilson (£7,800, 27.37 FPPG)- SEA @ ARI

If you weren’t already convinced that Wilson is worth spending big money on, his four touchdowns in Week 3, two passing and two rushing, as well as his throwing for over 400 yards, must have sealed the deal. The six-time Pro Bowler will surely give a repeat performance this week against a Cardinals defence that is still struggling without Patrick Peterson. Spend the money on Wilson and don’t expect to be disappointed.

Bargain Picks (£6,000 and under)

Chris Thompson (£5,300) – WAS @ NYG

When the Redskins are looking to air the ball out, as they did when trailing in the second half against the Bears last week, Thompson receives a lion-share of the ball. As a budget option at just £5,300, the Redskins running back’s production could outperform his value.

Josh Jacobs (£6,000, 12.69 FPPG)- OAK @ IND

Rookie Josh Jacobs has made a strong start to his NFL career, having already amassed 228 rushing yards through three games this season. Raiders coach Jon Gruden likes to establish the run early, meaning sustained fantasy production for Jacobs. And you can be sure to see that continue against the Colts, who are without All-Pro line-backer Darius Leonard.

Phillip Dorsett (£5,900, 14.8 FPPG)- NE @ BUF

With Demaryius Thomas having been traded away to make room for Antonio Brown, and Brown released shortly after, Dorsett will fill a major receiving hole. The wideout has five touchdowns since the start of the 2018 playoffs and has been one of Tom Brady’s favourite targets so far this season. His only downside? The Patriots face one of the league’s best defences on the road this week in the Bills.

 Leonard Fournette

Stay away from…

Deshaun Watson (£8,200, 23.47 FPPG) PAN @ HOU

Deshaun Watson is an explosive quarterback with champagne production numbers. However, his matchup against the Panthers is tough and makes him a risk with better options available elsewhere.

D-Fence: the best defence to take this week

Jaguars (£4,700, 6.33 FPPG)- @ DEN

Even without star Jalen Ramsey, the Jags racked up nine sacks against the Titans and their pass rush has the capability to put Bronco’s quarterback Joe Flacco under serious duress when they face each other this week. Flacco will have limited weapons to throw to, and the Jags are prepared to gobble them up.
