It’s been a hectic summer of international football but there’s one more tournament before the Premier League returns – and there are Olympic medals up for grabs!
While there won’t be too many superstars on show at the 2024 Olympic Games due to competing nations being restricted to naming three players aged over under-23, the men’s football tournament should still provide some decent action over two-and-a-bit weeks in France.
Spain will be hoping to collect the gold less than a month after their triumph at the Euros, although the hosts – under the guidance of Thierry Henry – could prove formidable on home soil, while Argentina boast Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez in their ranks.
