Le Golf National is the location for the men’s and women’s golf at the Olympic Games, with Team USA having the favourite in each event. The Paris course is home to the DP World Tour’s Open de France and also played host to the 2018 Ryder Cup.
On the men’s side, Masters champion Scottie Scheffler is at the top of the market ahead of Xander Schauffele, who won gold at Tokyo 2020 and has two majors to his name this year. Nelly Korda leads the women’s betting and will look to make it back-to-back Olympic gold medals.

John Rahm
Having endured a somewhat difficult start to life on the LIV Golf tour, Jon Rahm notched his first victory of the season on Sunday, outlasting Legion XIII teammate Tyrrell Hatton to claim the title at JCB Golf and Country Club. It was a triumph that had been coming. Rahm was the highest-placed LIV representative at the Open Championship the previous week and now that he is back in the winner’s circle, the floodgates could open.
That is what happened in 2023 when the Spaniard backed up his Sentry Tournament of Champions win with success at The American Express on his next outing. He then won the Genesis Invitational in February before dominating the Masters.
Rahm finished in the top 10 in each of his Open de France appearances in 2017 and 2018 and was also a part of Europe’s winning Ryder Cup team in the French capital.
Alex Noren
There are three previous winners of the Open de France taking part in the Olympics. One of them is Alex Noren, who was competitive at the Scottish Open and Open Championships and can build on that form in Paris. The Swede ranks in the top 15 for both driving accuracy and strokes gained from tee to green in this field, and his lack of distance shouldn’t be too much of an issue on a course where placement is more important than power.
When Noren won at Le Golf National in 2018, he ranked second in fairways found and fifth for greens in regulation. His scrambling – another strength of the 42-year-old – also proved pivotal.
Guido Migliozzi
Like Noren, Guido Migliozzi has lifted the Open de France trophy and is worth chancing as an each-way selection. The Italian carried no form into the event in 2022 but registered a course record-equalling 62 on the final day to secure victory. This time, the 27-year-old arrives in Paris in good nick, having won the KLM Open in June.
Migliozzi was well-placed after the third round at Tokyo 2020, sitting in 11th place, but a poor Sunday saw him slip down the leaderboard. A trip to Le Golf National represents the ideal opportunity to post a better result at the Olympic Games.
Women’s Tournament
Linn Grant
Linn Grant is unfazed by the big stage, having not only become the first woman to win on the DP World Tour at the Scandinavian Mixed in 2022 but also winning it for a second time this year, coming back from 11 shots behind on the final day. She has four other Ladies European Tour titles and broke her LPGA duck at the Dana Open in Ohio last year.
Grant returned to the scene of her maiden LPGA triumph two weeks ago and ended in a tie for third place. A prolific winner throughout her career, the Swede has the game to come out on top in France.
Celine Boutier
Nobody in the competition knows Le Golf National better than Celine Boutier, who was a part of the youth academy at the course. Boutier, who won the Evian Championship in 2023, lifted an amateur title at the Paris course and understands its challenges – particularly on the tricky last four holes.
Being the host nation’s best hope of a medal in golf brings added pressure to Boutier, but she embraced that support when winning her home major at the Evian Resort Golf Club last year.
