NFL Tips: Sunday’s 6pm 18/1 Multi-Match Bet Builder

Ben Steele pads up for Sunday's 6pm NFL action!

The NFL season crashes into Week 16 this weekend as the regular season approaches the final straight.

As the games get underway our pigskin prognosticator Ben Steele has chalked  up a super Multi-Match Bet Builder for Sunday’s 6pm games.

NFL Sunday Multi-Match Bet Builder

6pm – Detroit Lions @ Chicago Bears
Amon-Ra St Brown Over 73.5 Receiving Yards
Jared Goff 3+ Passing Touchdowns

6pm – LA Rams @ New York Jets
Davante Adams Anytime Touchdown

6pm – Cleveland Browns @ Cincinnati Bengals
Joe Burrow Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns

Detroit Lions @ Chicago Bears

Amon-Ra St Brown Over 73.5 Receiving Yards

The Detroit Lions lost their first game since the second week of the season last weekend, in a 48-42 shootout with the Buffalo Bills, a game that was also notable for the injury suffered by running back David Montgomery. One half of a sensational rushing duo, Montgomery has been a star in Detroit all year and leaves Jahmyr Gibbs to lead the line on his own.

Fortunately for Detroit fans, the Lions are far from a one-dimensional team. Amon-Ra St Brown is fourth among all receivers for passing yards and third for touchdowns this season – and with Montgomery out – I’d expect him to be a huge part of the game plan. He’s already collected 73 yards against the Chicago Bears this season (in a Thanksgiving Day win) and that was a game where Montgomery saw the ball 24 times. Expect St Brown to cover his receiving yards line with ease on Sunday.

Jared Goff 3+ Passing Touchdowns

Another beneficiary of the Lions need to pass the ball more often is quarterback Jared Goff. Coming off his best performance of the season last week, with 494 yards and five touchdown passes, Goff will be crucial to keeping the Lions atop the NFC North in the coming weeks.

Head Coach Dan Campbell is dealing with a mountain of injuries on the defensive side of the ball and is clearly being more aggressive than usual. Goff has a number of weapons available, including Jahmyr Gibbs, who is undoubtedly the better of the two Lions running backs in the passing game – so I’m backing Goff to throw three or more touchdowns in a hard fought division battle.

LA Rams @ New York Jets

Davante Adams Anytime Touchdown

The New York Jets have spent part of the week dealing with the fallout from media reports into their owner Woody Johnson and his running the team. The most headline grabbing story was that he refused to trade for Denver Broncos wide receiver Jerry Jeudy, due to Jeudy’s low rating on the Madden video game. Jeudy was eventually traded to the Cleveland Browns and, with three games left in the season, has already notched career highs in catches and receiving yards.

One receiver Johnson was willing to trade for, is Davante Adams (a 94 on Madden for those interested) and to be fair, that is clearly a move that has worked out. Adams, who started his career in Green Bay (playing with now Jets QB Aaron Rodgers) has been exceptional since moving to New York, scoring five touchdowns with four coming in the last three games. Facing a Rams defence who are bang average against the pass, I’d expect Adams to find the end zone once again.

Cleveland Browns @ Cincinnati Bengals

Joe Burrow Over 1.5 Passing Touchdowns

Joe Burrow has been sensational this season; his 36 touchdown passes are a career high and lead the NFL, plus he’s on track to set a personal best for passing yards too. Unfortunately for Burrow, that individual effort hasn’t always translated to wins, frustratingly for Bengals fans that has been particularly common in AFC North matchups.

The Bengals are 1-3 in games against divisional opponents, but Burrow has thrown for 1,310 yards and 16 touchdowns in those four games. With a small hope of making the playoffs, if they win their remaining games, Burrow will be hoping to keep up his strong run of form. He has thrown three of more touchdowns in each of his last six games and I don’t see that streak stopping on Sunday.
